How do they know they are "Full Date" if the coins are "Unsearched"?

Also, he only has "50" lots of 50 coins, when there are now over 70 sold. I've bought a few of these lots a few times when I was less experienced and have only been burned.

OK, this is the message I just sent him...

"I just HAVE to ask...how do you know they are all full date or 1 in 5 from 1800's if they are not searched? Just don't get that."

Lets see what vitriol he spews back.

I'm still wondering what a Pennies Cents is.

My Mom has had this bag since the 1970s

Wow, way, way back in time in the 70's, weren't they still using Large Cents?
So much fun reading what some put on ebay.

Perhaps he has a twin brother because this guy is doing the same thing with the same picture and the same exact story.

Tbone, wow, reading the descriptions it quickly becomes clear it has to be the same person or that the 50 coin lots guy stole the entire description and story from the70 coin lot guy just replacing 70 with 50.

As I was looking through his feedback (3 negs in Feb and 6 over the last 6 months) I noticed that everything he sells shows up as "private"...so there's no way to look up what was sold. I've never understood that concept. Can anyone explain? What is the purpose or benefit (if any) for a "private" listing?

Drumroll please....his response...

Dear smokriderdon,

We buy large volumes from reputable sources and they ship US coins that meet our specs.

OK, so here is the question. Do I respond and point out that means his mom is a large volume seller that is reputable?

Large volumes, reputable sources--what, that's his "mom"?

OK jbuck, you are my excuse for being an expletive here.

This is what I just sent back...

I find myself to be further confused. According to your listing, you received these coins from your mother. I then take it to mean your mother is a reputable seller of bulk coin lots.

Regardless of that, would not the coins still have been searched by the person you purchased them from? Otherwise, again, how would you know they are all full date and the ratio of 1800's coins in the lots?

I am wondering, given this seller's response to Don, if he's reportable. If he purchases coins from a dealer, then his listing is patently false. Isn't that reason to get his lots removed or his account banned?
