Boca Raton Coin Dealer Finds U. S. Treasury Checks In Trash

Syngraphic New Member United States 23 Posts	Posted 02/20/2013 07:53 am Demetri Cirillo, of Florida Currency and Coins, in Boca Raton, Florida was vacuuming out a rental van, after returning from the Lakeland, Florida Collectorama Coin and Currency Show, and spotted a large group of U. S. Treasury checks and Money Orders in a trash can at a Boca Raton gas station. Around $780,000.00 of these checks were recovered. They were all turned in to the Boca Raton Police Department, who are now investigating if the checks are real, and how they ended up in the trash can. http://cbs12.com/news/top-stories/s...d_5341.shtml Report this Post to the Staff

They have a group of recipient names to investigate, and there will be serial numbers to trace. There's the possibility of counterfeits, and the possibility of drug money laundering.
