Nice! Love them all. What does the Scotia Bank 10oz JM's back look like? Is it called a commercial or an art bar? I assume the serials are usually low for these bars?

the back has the scotia logo, 10 troy ounces and the .999

I call these ones "bank bars"

RBC, TD, and Scotia bank released these bars in 1,5,10oz sizes in the 80's through JM
though you can find some scotia 1, 5, 10oz bars made by engelhard

Mintage wise it seems about the same through all three bars.
around 40,000 1oz, 25,000 5oz and 15,000 10oz

Nice! Those "old pours" with the horns command a nice premium sometimes. Great pick up!

That's good to know. JM made bars for some American banks, as well. Right? Those always fetch a nice premium. However, I only have a couple less popular bars that JM had made for Sooter's. Do you collect those kinds, too? Sometimes it is just frustrating trying to find information on these bars. More than often I found this is the right place to seek answers.

JM made a ton for US banks but they were mostly in the 1oz bars. Alot of these are hard to come by. Since all these bars were being made in Canada. I collect any JM bar with a variety I don't have been meaning to put together a database of JM and engel hard bars

Lol, swrbxxx gets a haul that size and I was excited to get these bars yesterday. Makes my haul look small
Have duplicates of the engelhard and jm if anyone wants to trade.

WOW, that's a nice day's work you got there
Thanks for the pix, especially your half Eagle
just under a 1/4oz. To buy these at melt, I would
sell my house and buy them all day. I'm no coin
grader but it sure looks like you acquired
yourself an nice Unc. coin maybe MS62-63,
which either way commands a sweet premium.
The pic shows some luster and it doesn't look
like it was cleaned. Very nice score.
I have few old pours like yours that I'd trade in
a heart beat (if I had a chance) for these coins in
this condition. This Liberty Head Is worth grading,
definitely.

Kavern
Nice little pick up there!
Those RCM bars command a nice markup
Is that a 1972 or 74 JM .

Kavern,

Do you know the year on that Engel?

I have a couple of those with serials in the 30k that I would love to know the date on.

I love the old one ounce bars.
