I ordered a couple with 9/30/13 shipping date. Maybe, by Christmas.

1) Yes, first enhanced ASE minted

2) Yes, CC is charged just before shipping

3) Yes, those are the types...sprinkled with P, S and W mint marks (or none)

Thanks for the information. Have a set on order now, it will be going from the US Mint to Rhode Island and then to England. I will probably end ip seeing the set around Christmas time.

With the help of my another CCF member, it looks like I will have a burnished one in the future as well.

What's up with the counter on the website. It seems to have been stuck at 138k for quite a while. There's no telling how high the real number is up to.

Also, Kena, that group sounds like a great mini-set to put together. Are any of those strikes ultra-rare/expensive?

They update it once a day in the afternoon...Monday-Friday. That's why it was "stuck" over the w/e

Now who was it that was complaining that Provident Metals was taking 3 weeks to ship after payment ?

I was. They had cash in hand and supposedly had stock on hand ready to ship. They said nothing about 3 weeks to put my order together AFTER they had good funds. The mint on the other hand charges the same price for cash vs. credit, doesn't charge you until it ships (or close) and tells you before accepting your order when they will have inventory to ship. (Which from my experience is usually later than when they will actually ship, they understand the whole under promise, over deliver thing). I much, MUCH prefer the mints policies to that of Provident. Oh, and I did get my order today and there is a nice big black mark right across one of my Philharmonics. AWESOME! Wonder if their return policy is a good as the US Mint?

Looks like this set will almost certainly pass last years.

@Merc since its bullion they wont let you return it but if you ask them if you could do a swap I've never had any problems with them doing that

Tetromibi - As far as I know you should be able to put together basic type set without anything being that rare.

Buy the two coin set which is currently on sale. $139.95

Buy the single proof coin which is on sale. £57.95

That takes care of 3 of the coins.

Since you are in the US you should be able to find the standard bullion American Eagle without much fuss.

I would have to leave it to the other folks on here to speak about the burnished one, since I am in the UK.

Its possible, sales died pretty hard in the middle of the ordering period on the last set with a surge at the end, but this one did start out a lot stronger. I wont be the least bit surprised if this one ends up with the highest mintage of them all

The US Mint product page says the last day total is 251,695. This is amazingly close to the 2012 last day sales total of 251,302. However, last year's final total ended up at 224,981 sets sold. I'm guessing that was due to speculators cancelling orders after the total got to a 1/4 million. It'll be interesting to see what this year's total ends up at.

TJB17....I'm curious as to why you felt the need to resurrect 2 threads that are a month old to make 5 live threads on the same subject?...and post the same thing in both

FWM, in case someone saw one and not the other. I was not aware of how many "live" threads there are on the topic. The two I posted my updates in were the only two on the subject that I have been watching, i.e., saved in my bookmarks. It's a moot point anyway. I posted that response too early on the 6th. The total ended over 280K with more than 29K sets bought on the last day for some reason.
