And with silver at $24 cdn , SGB is charging almost $30 for a maple, a $6 premium, is this because the RCM was not shipping maples or RCM upped their premium , or SGB upped premium or all of above?

Quote: From other forum it sounds like Americans are able to get maples really cheap but here in Canada I cant find maples cheap yet. Im going to guess that you can probably get ASEs cheaper than we can since generally the coin of that country is the more popular one hence the higher premium

They should lock in the price when you order, they locked in my price when I ordered a tube of maple leafs from SGB 2 days ago. Not sure about Goldmart though, have not ordered anything from them before.

If they accept an order the price should be locked otherwise they should not be taking orders if they do not know the price they will be charging.

They are saying delayed on everything and I am not sure what that means. It basically means theyre taking orders for things they dont have in stock. Like others mentioned though it should lock the price in.

When Goldmart says "Delayed", what that means in plain english is "We're gonna make SBSS look like they process orders at the speed of light."
Order from Goldmart only if you have no concern in the world about when your order gets shipped and don't expect your emails to be answered or to get anything other than elevator music if you call them on the phone.

Delayed means , you pay for your orders, they collect money from hundreds of buyers and when they have en off money, they buy, then they pay less for the bulk and then they ship to you.... that means they work with your money to get better deal and make money... when you get your items ? who knows ....

Just got this email from Goldmart.
Greetings
We are writing to inform you that currently we are experiencing some delays in processing most silver bullion orders due to the recent surge of volume and production issues from the top-down. There currently are no delays for gold bullion products but some minor delays as our shipping department is backed up and we are working hard to get back to our standard processing times. For this reason, we clearly post our "typical" processing times throughout our website. We use the word "typical" for a reason because sometimes atypical situations like the one we are currently experiencing arise.
Right now there is a major production and supply problem for silver bullion at the U.S. and Royal Canadian mints as well as many of the private mints we distribute silver products for. These delays have created inventory gaps which have led us to adjust the status of many silver bullion products as being delayed or out of stock. At the time of many orders, products were in stock and ready to ship, which at the time was the truth as we had product in-house, en route, as well as paid orders with distributors waiting for their production, delivery and shipment.
Currently we have pallets of 2013 Silver Eagles and 2013 Silver Maples that are en route to us now, paid for and scheduled to ship from distribution. We also have tens of thousands of ounces of other private silver bullion products en route to us, again paid for and scheduled to ship to us. We are sorry about the inventory gap, but we too are experiencing delays in the supply chain from distribution. These same delays from mint distribution have been prevalent throughout the industry and are the predominant reason for the rise in premiums on silver bullion products. We apologize for the delays and are sympathetic toward our customers, as we too are experiencing the same delays . . . and we appreciate your understanding. Sincerely, Goldmart.com

Yeah---I got that when it came out yesterday, too. It made me realize that no matter how deplorable the customer service they've extended to me was, they're still pretty good at wringing their hands and sounding like they're sincerely trying. It also reinforced my knowledge that as the old adage says, "Talk is cheap."

Thats my favorite part of it. So if you have 100 eagles in stock but you sell a 1000 thats fine because you had product that was instock ready to at the time lol. Stuff like that is why I will never order from them. I waited 4 months for a 5.56 ammo order from Cabelas to be filled, but from day 1 they said it was back ordered. I understand shortages but be honest. Its very dishonest to sell things as in stock that you dont have in stock like goldmart does and then basically say oh its not our fault our shipments are delays. Sorry goldmart actually it is your fault, you werent selling them as pre orders or back orders, you sold them as in stock ready to ship which means they should be exactly that
