80 for $130 = $1.65 each.
Not too bad.
Always nice to find a tough date, even if it is warn.

What culls I still have I give away to the kids.
Makes them excited.
Congratulations.

That's very nice! My brother got one for a dollar. But it was a no date, so I used Nic-A-Date.

Lot finds by the collectors who know what they are looking at seem to be the only way to get rich or make scores on ebay in the last few years (regardless of what you collect)

I saw a lot of V-Nickels with an 1886 in it that went for $40 for close to thirty coins. I didn't notice it until it was too late. I bought 200 V nickels once for $56. It had several better dates but no keys. It had a 1870 Shield nickel. That was a nice find for 30 cents. I have so many V nickels laying around I need to liquidate.

How do go about selling off all the low grade, common date coins you accumulate? Do you gather them in a large lot and do a no reserve auction?

We have a trader here that would buy pretty much any amount, if you bring the lot sorted to his shop.

He doesn't pay much (around dime for culls, quarter for Fr2 and 50c for AGs), but it works for me (saves me the hassle of selling them in small lots to collectors or online).

Not sure how is he selling all of them though .

Oh, the shop I go to sells me Gs and VGs at 55 cents in bulk. I know they been searched though. I don't think he would even buy coins off me since he has a big bin already. 50 cents for AGs is a good price.

55c for VG is a great price IMO..
You could easily flip those online if you have the time for it.

On a side note, I think we've already seen that my AG is your G-VG .

Here is a VG I bought for 55 cents. Yes, I do buy and flip them I just have so many V nickels now and can only sell them one at a time. I tried to sell them at a low cost in lots with no bites. I told him one time I am going to buy the entire bin along with his box of large cents. I just bought a V nickel Whitman book and put my coins in there and realize I have weird taste and the coins I keep would not sell. This 55 cent price I can't pick really, I dump some out and pick out what I don't want.

Sure, email me. I just counted my V-Nickels that aren't apart of my collection or listed for sale. I have 167.
