There are no mint marks showing on the reverse on either side. I will try to get some pics put up before going to work this evening, but as I just came in from working 12 hours, I am tired and don't feel like breaking out the camera at this moment. Sorry. At least this will build up some suspense though. More pics to come.

Personally, I think you should skip the photos and open the roll. That being said, no pressure. Take your time.

Okay, here are the photos of the ends of the roll. And so far I am not succumbing to pressure to open it. I like it as it is! I have tons of Jefferson nickels so I am not sweating it. Now, if the roll looked to be BU...we'd be singing a different tune.

Not really close enough for me to see all the PUP's... the top one is more modern, maybe as modern as the early 90's... The lower one is obviously older, seems to have the bulge of the worn master die from the '60's-era nickels. Between '63 and '68 most likely.
Like I said, not really detailed enough to see what I want to see... but those are my guesses.

I immediately thought 64 on the bottom pic. I agree with fade that its likely somewhere in that 60's range

I figured the nickels to be from the 1960s and maybe early early 1970s at the newest. Sorry about the photos but I was rushing to get them uploaded before work.

If you DO open it, (I would have to, like most people here) I would definitely unroll one end. You could roll it back up when you out all the coins back if you want. It wouldnt be perfect, but it would still be together.

Comic Relief: Who remembers the $3 roll of dimes?

I just remembered I have about $3.00 in dimes I need to go put in the coin bank to roll up. And for the record, still no interest in unwrapping my nickel roll. The sad thing is, if it was an old Lincoln Wheat cent roll, I would tear into it like a kid opening a Christmas present. Such a double standard.

The top nickel pictured is more modern than 1970's. I would say 1980's or more likely 1990's. The lower nickel looks like a 50's or 60's. I'd have to open it. However, if you really like it...keep it. That's what are hobby is all about.

Just an update...still haven't opened it. I looked at it though and walked right on by without unwrapping it. I did, however, unwrap an ice cream sandwich to eat. It's 103 degrees outside. Ice cream is more refreshing than nickels would be.
