I have seen Krause books leave out a coin or 2 here and there. I'd check the 4th edition.
Sap should be along shortly to answer this riddle.

I saw the pics but I don't know enough about the various city states of the 1800's And I don't have the 1800's book so I can't be of much help. And I'm serious...if Sap can't give you a clear answer with a complete history lesson then I'll melt down all my coins and build me a new car.

graceoutcast, can I help with building the car? LOL LOL Am really curious about this coin, bought a 500 foreign coin batch on ebay and really, really lucked out...this is the only coin I can't find in the books I have.....Mike

Wow! Those are my favorite kind of auctions! Hodgepodge! We love pictures here so when ya find a cool coin we wanna see it! I bought over 1000 different coins from an old guy on ebay for about $225 and it took be about 2 months to go thru and catalog and card the ones I needed for my collection.

These that I got valued way up over 700.00 and I paid 228.00 including the shipping. A lot of BU and UNC throughout.

My catalogue is the standard catalogue of German coins By Krause 1601-Present 2nd edition Page 421 the difference is the 1814 the WK has 1 ring at base of W where as the 1844 as well as the 1831 Has 2 rings at the base W.
here are the prices listed. Fine=$2.00 Very Fine=$5.00 XF=$15.00 Unc=$ 85.00

Ok, appeciate the info....the newer books by Krause don't contain this info, I have the 5th and access to the 4th and neither contain info on this coin. I did post photos of the coin for you to checkout, we are talking about the same coin, aren't we? graceoutcast, you have start building that car....and I am ready to help and supervise...LOL LOL

Sorry I'm late... had a busy weekend.
As has been suggested, this is another example of later edition Krauses deleting coins which used to be present in earlier editions. It seems to have happened a lot back when they split the all-in-one volume into separate centuries.
I just checked on NumisMaster and this coin is completely gone from their database.

it was only a 2 year type coin, that may have had something to do with it
