I just like to see the variety of shoddy slabs.

Maybe I could even collect them. There's certainly a lot of them, and they're all different... (like the laminated 2x2 "slab")

Sure, it can be a real challenge to find some of the older ones, especially since ebay no longer allows the company names in the listings. Makes it very hard to search for them.

I'm also okay with a lot of SEGS and some of the PCI graded coins, though I buy the coin not the plastic, even from ANACS, NGC and PCGS.

NCS is a part of NGC so might as well include them but they aren't a grading firm rather a conservation service.

That is a matter of opinion and you are entitled to yours. But this is not AU50, not with wear on the diamond and one of the orbs. I'll give you a weak strike on the lower orb, but the diamond is flat...Comprehensive-Basement-Slabber-List?

I do not know what the point of that post was other than to slam on ICG because 1)the coin is raw and not in an ICG holder and 2)you only show one side of the coin

This listing isn't complete but it is a good start. (should be about 15 more) It contains both the good and bad companies. the basement slabbers, the fly-by-nights etc. It runs for I think 143 companies. (The first edition of the Slab Book only listed 82 companies.) If you see a double listing that is because there is more than one company using those initials

You left out my favorite- INB. Makes SGS look conservative.

I said it wasn't complete.

That list is from a set of my notes archived in 2009. Material I have added in the last three years isn't in there. The flash drive with my current information is currently misplaced. I think I may have left it at work.

And I do have VSS and INB in my current notes. Plus others.

Fair 'nuf... besides, there are still unclaimed letters. Let's see, I want EGS - eggceptional grading service.
