If the coin has luster, easy AU grade.

Should be fun to send this one to PCGS. We have everything from VF30 to AU. I think I will take a look at Collectors Corner now and try to compare it to some of their VF and EF coins. Thanks.

Toned over old wear on the high points. EF40. This coin must have been in a collection or collections, I would guess, since the '60's.

You might try ballparking it here with PCGS photograde.. PCGS Photograde : http://www.pcgs.com/Photograde/Keep in mind earlier dates of this series are graded differently, as the series went through many enhancements throughout the years..

I did use that site that is why VF30's and EF40's surprise me. Not too many coins with full neck feathers and some body feathers from pre21 score lower then AU50.

Thanks to all. I bought it as an AU50 so right in that ballpark. One of the first I posted with no details grade.

Quote: I bought it as an AU50 so right in that ballpark The more I look at this and your '18-S, The more I think I was a little Conservative (read wrong) with my original gradestimates. I think this was well bought at AU50 and may pull mid AU from PCGS on a good day. Good luck!

Thanks dave. I plan to get these off to PCGS this week and will hope for a good day. I have a 1919D and 1920D coming in EF grades. The 1919D is a super rare coin so it will go in too. I need to see how PCGS rates these early Walkers. When I look at registry sets I think I may pull AU55 on a few early ones and hoping for AU50's on the others. I will come back either way so we can all learn.
