I saw a promotion on ebay this morning while looking for something else, didn't click through to it.

Interesting scheme, could be worthwhile for those who buy and sell regularly on ebay, looks like the trial ends in about two weeks.

But the problem is, I can't understand how to use it, lol.

I just can never find the ebay voucher. I didn't get to use my pc just until now... I didn't call ebay too.

Pretty clear in the promo - when you setup the auction choose to get paid via an ebay voucher. Use it to buy from ebay...

Quote:
The no fee option is a promotion that provides an option for sellers to be paid with an ebay voucher instead of cash from the buyer. Sellers selecting to be paid with an ebay voucher will pay NO ebay fees and NO PayPal fees for their listings. ebay vouchers will be issued for 100% of the buyer payment, including shipping and sales tax, if any was added to the purchase price.

...

Quote:
How do I redeem a voucher?1.Visit ebay.com and purchase an item (purchases from mobile devices are excluded).
2.During checkout, the remaining balance of all your ebay vouchers may be auto applied to the total order amount. You may remove any ebay voucher you do not want applied to your order. Please note you cannot partially redeem an ebay voucher, unless the total order amount is less than the value of the ebay voucher, in which case, you can use the remaining balance of the voucher for your next transaction.

Not a bad deal, kind of like Heritage reducing or eliminating your consignment fees when you resell through them again after buying from an auction.

The only thing keeping me out is it is not eligible for purchases made with a mobile device, that is how I make 95% of my purchases the past year or so. I'm rarely home when bidding and my snipping program I used has had a lot of failures causing me to miss out on auctions I wanted to at least have a shot at. Otherwise it looks pretty neat if you buy and sell a lot of stuff.

@BStrauss3, I can read the instructions a thousand times and not have it work.

Whenever I look at the payment type, I can only see paypal or credit card.

I guess I will just contact dang ebay and tell them.

That's weird - unless there is some eligibility criteria buried in the fine print? All I see is:

1.Valid only for purchases on ebay.com where PayPal is accepted.
2.You must have ebay and PayPal accounts registered in the U.S. to redeem an ebay voucher. For security purposes, a credit card or bank account may be required.

Give 'em a call, after all, don't you need a little more aggravation in your day :-)...

Technically I think it was supposed to be one of those invitation only type offers so it may not work for everyone. I've never tried it though so I'm not even sure where to find the option switch. You may have to use the advanced listing feature to be able to use it

I have called them... turns out you have to use the new type of listing. Now that just sucks cause I have no idea how to use it.
I will be putting my Peace dollar up for sale. I hope it comes out alright....
