The guy at the coin shop said almost the exact same thing Broken Coin said in his second post about the sheet folding after the 3rd print but before cutting. He was surprised it passed quality control. He gave me a name and number of a guy who deals more with paper currency. He was nice enough to give me a plastic sleeve for it. I offered to pay and he said bringing in the note for him to see was payment enough.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I came across this group while I was researching what I have and figured if there was a group of people to ask about this it'd be this group. Thank you all.

You might want to get this graded by a guarantee company so that you have proof that it is a genuine error -- just in case you decide to sell it some day. Perhaps a note collector can make a recommendation.....

Should you have this note certified as a genuine error, I would recommend you contact PMG via eMail with the information above and ask if there would be a problem placing this in a holder due to the added width. I used them back in '06 when I had a 3rd print on reverse WEB Note and 20£ Bank of England error with 3 sets of serial numbers, and they were more then happy to help with the 20£ error also. I would also mention this is the 1st time I actually viewed a genuine error of this type as every other note I've seen was made from a sheet of uncut currency, and with that said, I would have this holdered without hesitation. This note was a joy checking out when I realized it was genuine.

I agree with broken-coin...........I also agree it is probably well worth it for yu to "Certify" your error...no matter when yu sell......

Welcome bluept. Quote: He was nice enough to give me a plastic sleeve for it. I offered to pay and he said bringing in the note for him to see was payment enough. This comment means that this is a dealer to keep in your good graces and visit often. Sounds like a stand up person.

Any update on this note getting certified, it will be money well spent IMHO.

PMG got back to me with a list of certified dealers in my area. I've submitted it through one of them but haven't heard anything back yet.
