Coin looks nice but $90 is overpriced. From those scans maybe $65.

Hi Marbury,

I enhanced the picture of your coin, and it might be better in hand than the pic - "Trends" lists the value in AU-58 at $125.

Since you're buying lots of Canadian, it might pay you to get a subscription for Canadian Coin News with the "Trends" value list, and then you'll have a better idea of worth of coin before you bid on it - it's published every two weeks, and I think there's an on-line edition now.

Keep in mind that in the current economy over here that few coins, unless they are very rare or in exceptional condition, are bringing close to full trends value these days.

I already subscribe to CCN..........so have trends...and relied more on the auction house description, not something I would normally do but Torex have a pretty good rep.........and they described the coin as Brilliant Uncirculated....so I am still hoping to do OK..on arrival.will post better scans........unless the coin is poor and then I will just keep quiet lol

Could be a re-cut H, (H/h). Could one for a T.P.G. !

I have had it under times 10 mag and still can't be sure so will leave it to ICCS and will send a note about it. So this coin my 1909 Broad Leaves Dime and the 1892 25c will go to ICCS shortly. Early next week I imagine.

Hello to you mr Marbury from over there across the Pond... :)

You mean to say that you better hope the auction house guy they was wrong, and that the glen is right, cause the coin is worth lot more than if it was the small H, and its harder to tell from what the picture is, but I would agree with glen that it is probably the larger of the H, or the big one H over the smaller h of the variety.

Say hello to that Queen lady for me... au revoir Royaume-Uni!

It is difficult to determine the type of "H" from the pictures. Let us know what comes back from ICCS. Definitely a beautiful coin.
