Grace, grace. Trust me, polished with light abrasions is the least of the problem here. If it is real, I'd jump all over it. But here's the problem. From Winkipedia:
"Some coins were minted in extremely small numbers (as few as 500 pieces occurred in 1905, 1906, & 1908). Also, many were lost when the defenders of Corregidor threw them into the ocean, rather than surrender the Philippine national treasury to the Japanese. Only about 80% were ever recovered, and many of those were badly corroded. However the rarest coins are the 1906-s peso with as few as 250 coins in existence; ..."

i do trust the seller since I already bought. however their are circumstances. perhaps she just think it is. he he he.. no matter I guess I will think up what you said pattiewhack,. chasinva69, I agree. I keep on watching 1906 coins auctioned here at ebay. many of the 1906 coin auctioned are either too worn or too cleaned. however coins are sold at a much higher price. if the 1906 coin auctioned is only one and worn. I guess i'll jump right away however with this condition I have hesitation.

I was only looking at the coin description and not the mintage and history factors.
It looks legit but don't buy it because there is a guarantee.

The value of that coin in XF condition is around $2,500 U.S. dollars. I don't know how much 11,000 pesos is, but if the bidding peaks out at around $200 or $300, then that tells you the real collectors don't think this coin is authentic. If you want to buy one of the rarest coins around from someone with 14 positive feedback go ahead and try your luck. Maybe your gamble will pay off. Good luck Baguiobookstore.

perhaps their are many experts watching these coins,. why did not they jump in? confuse I am really.. if they think its authentic usually they bid right on the start.. that's what I had learned from bit of checking here and there.. still I hope someone could tell me if the picture looks authentic so that I may try to buy it. later the weight and metal content testing. thank you very much. chasinva69, I will not gamble my money.. he he he. 11,000 is my fortune.. surely I would try way to lessen costs.. thanks thanks thanks... it,s a waste for you out there fellas you can't do anything but rely on the sellers reputation.. i think i'll bid.. try to hold it and test it.. if it proves authentic then I guess i'll pay my winning bid...

Ah... but look at his feedback... He should probably have 30 POS feedbacks, just he had a few sellers who bought multiple items. YOU can have the 1906 Peso's, I won't bid on them because you discovered them. If there's ONE I want it's either THIS ONEOR THIS ONE

OK... I'll need to see if he accepts something other than PayPal. At the moment it is not an option.

This is an area of collecting I am definitely interested in. All of the posters are saying to be very careful. If you are actually able to physically inspect the coin(s) and know the seller you have an advantage over the on-line 'experts' that have been cheated before and now are wary. If you feel confident, go for it! Here's a currency converter: http://www.xe.com/ucc/
