I don't care when I get it, as long as it's shipped!! :-) I think that ship has sailed though.

You have two avenues of recourse. One is to open a case in ebay - if that is where it was purchased from and on the reason, pull down "I haven't received my item yet". That will open up a case and then Paypal, you and the seller will hash it out in there. Two, Its about the same process in Paypal. I'd do the case as soon as possible. There are several reasons to cover your bases. There are unethical people who don't have the merchandise in hand, and may be trying to get that item. They may have bought it, and reposted it before they got it. With the weather the way it has been, shipping has been delayed in several locations. So, if it is delayed to them, then they in turn have to mail to you, its a delay all the way around. Submitting a case will protect you. Unethical people will delay shipping an item. Their window of opportunity for returns is typically based on the "sale date". If I was unethical, I wouldn't offer any sort tracking number, and hope you threw away the packaging that proves the shipping date. Then they would claim that they shipped it on time, and the return policy states you had 7 days to return "but you took 14 days". Delays may also mean it is coming from overseas, vice the original loction in their profile. With any sort of issue, it is best to document the purchase with the place you purchased it from. That way, others may be able to avoid that situation as well. Their issue could be legitimate, but you're right, at least an email, phone call or a down right truth to the matter message would be right on. Hope it works out well for you.

Its amazing how many of these issues could be avoided if people just used some common sense. A simple quick email saying "Hi sorry just wanted to let you know I wont be able to ship your package until such and such date" usually does wonders.

Had a situation similiar on ebay with a seller took 4 weeks I gave him the option to refund got excuse after excuse. Finally I sicked ebay on him and the item showed up 3 days later I still gave him positive feedback it was a great transaction. And a 15 dollar quarter isn't the end of the world. Nobody is perfect and it was a xf-f 1854 quarter that looks gorgeous in my book thats History! Whether or not the fellas excuses were legit is none of my business, its the only time this has happened on ebay.

Thanks for all the support. It was just a paypal purchase. No ebay involved. I do have recourse through paypal and my CC company. The silence from the seller is deafening. I'll give them a few more hours to come up with SOMETHING. Then I will send off a couple of messages to them cancelling the order and requesting a prompt refund by tomorrow, or I'll begin the process from my end via paypal and Capital One. Either way, no problem! I'm too old for this nonsense :-) I paid up front in good faith.

I believe your choice of how to handle things is quite appropriate.

I've had several transactions over the years, both on and off ebay, that took over one week to ship. I always got an "excuse" but did get the items eventually. It's frustrating to be sure but don't let anger get the best of you. Getting upset rarely helps any situation.

More frustrated than angry. Just not willing to wait any longer without some kind of communication. Some anger, but mostly disappointment and frustration. If they would have communicated better I could have waited as long as needed. I'm not unreasonable. They didn't even ask for my address until Wednesday. Really? They could have easily gotten it off of a previous packing slip. Something just doesn't smell right and I'm not going to wait around. Frankly I don't NEED what I bought that badly to where the tail can wag the dog. The deal has to be a mutual thing or it doesn't work. The seller is in Texas/central time. After 7pm I'll let them know my intentions. At that point all they would have to do is tell me it's shipped or "definitely tomorrow,".....something, and all would be well again. I prefer to deal from strength not weakness. Passivity really bugs me.

There is a reason why "The meek will inherit the Earth" and we're told to "Turn the other cheek". We get better because of it. IT doesn't get better because of us. Enough philosophy and now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I feel for you. Lack of communication is probably the most annoying thing that can happen when selling something.

Turn the other cheek? Yes, count me in, but business is business. They can slap my cheeks all they want when I don't have $132 hanging out there. Nice to have a little comic relief anyway. I'll let you know when I'm out from behind the

So I cancelled the order, and I just got an email saying it shipped yesterday w/tracking, and that I was given the info this am. NO WAY. Anyway things are on track for now, as long as everything is included in the order, which I just sent them an email about to confirm.
