It looks fine. If it weighs and measures right, it probably just tarnished that color.

Any value to this coin?
And where in or around hamilton
Can I take it to get graded and make sure its legit I still have doubts
That it is just because it feels like lead not like a normal .800 silver fifty cent piece..

If it is silver ----it is worth $8.00-----If it is fake it is worth $ 5.00 ( Educational value)----I bet you $10 it is a good coin----no fakes have ever been recorded in that condition for that series)

I have numerous contemporary counterfeits of 30's 40's and 50's of the 50 cent coins.

Well Mike Lahie was correct in his "spidey sense tingling". The coin pictured above is indeed a cast counterfeit of a 1951 50 cent piece.
weight is 12.1 gms
There is a complete casting ring on the rim.
Numerous porous patches and some strange features. A nice example of a contemporary counterfeit.
Thanks for allowing me to see it Mike. MM

Lead mix. May send it to Roger for analysis.
