Nice Panama coins

What you posted is not 1/10th of a balboa, although it does look kind of like a dime. Rather, it is 1/200th - "medio" means "half" and a "centésimo" is, of course, a cent. It is quite a strange coin - the next highest denomination was the infamously small silver 2.5 cent, and it was introduced 3 years after the silver coinage of its era (it's made of copper-nickel, for the record). For 3 years, did people have to make do without small change? Great coins!

Thank you nalaberong. Thanks for the correction also. I knew I wasn't labeling it right.

Thank you. Same here. Even though my local shop has a pretty good selection, I've gone through it so many times and I think I've bought up most of the coins older than 1850, my collecting preferance.
