There's just something about coins with mileage. you also don't need an expensive camera to get good pictures. check out the photography section for some tips and pointers on cellphone cameras (I use an iPhone 4s and am amazed at the results, see bottom link in my sig for some examples)

Nice Panama coins  What you posted is not 1/10th of a balboa, although it does look kind of like a dime. Rather, it is 1/200th - "medio" means "half" and a "centésimo" is, of course, a cent. It is quite a strange coin - the next highest denomination was the infamously small silver 2.5 cent, and it was introduced 3 years after the silver coinage of its era (it's made of copper-nickel, for the record). For 3 years, did people have to make do without small change? Great coins!

Thank you. Same here. Even though my local shop has a pretty good selection, I've gone through it so many times and I think I've bought up most of the coins older than 1850, my collecting preferance.

Went into old town today where they have lots of antique stores and a small coin dealer. Found these two coins. 1945 switzerland 2 francs  1963 netherlands 2 1/2 guilder
