hey simpsonstorage1 most would be working and looking through there books on coin to find a answer some things take time
so you comment 153 views and nobody can give me any opinions?... is this a forum or a one person blog?

If a non-member views a page it still counts as a view... so most of those 153 are just passing by.
This is probably a coin, just a badly made one (maybe Indian?) with not much to go by.

Sorry for not replying to this thread earlier. It was posted on the first Friday of the month (my coin club day) and unless coins posted on that day are real easy, I can't take the time to research a proper reply.
This coin is not real easy. Some kind of "old Indian coin", it almost certainly is. Unfortunately, there's not enough of the inscription left for me to offer anything helpful as to a more precise ID. I can't even tell whether it's Arabic or a native Indian script.
Any chance of getting a weight? Nearest 0.1 grams might be helpful.

Oh & to fuzzy... I have a bag of vintage world coins from a storage unit I bought that belonged to a ww2 pilot/occupation soldier turned colonel who did a lot of globe trotting. I will go through them when I get a chance looking for coins with your birthyear and get back to you

3.7 grams does not fit well into the "regular" rupee series of weights. It's either from an obscure state that didn't use rupees, or from considerably older than the rupee scale was introduced.

We have a few Indian coin experts who check through the ID Required listings occasionally; I'll add "Indian" to your thread title to attract their attention, perhaps.
