If they're not worth anything...then why would he want to buy them?

Congatulations on your finds. My advice is to hang on to them for a while. I would also buy the most current Red Book to see how much your coins are worth. Do some more research before you decide to sell them. Knowledge is the best way to avoid being ripped off. I would also post some pictures in the Grading section, we can help you grade some of your coins.

Yeah, I've had that happen a few times through the years.

The line goes something like this:

"Well, it's not really worth anything, but I'll give you X dollars for it just to do you a favor and take it off your hands."

Yeah, right.

Some of these dealers think that we only have three brain cells that work together.

Steve

P.S.

Arthrene...I like your motto!

On one of the other boards you'd probably win the "You Suck" award for the day!

Hey lude, I always wondered how that works.

They let you go through the rolls on your lunch hour or something, then you buy what you want our of the drawer?

Sounds like a sweet deal. 10 rolls of old silver half dollars bought for face value.

That would sure keep a smile on my face for a long time!

hahah yeah if we have old coins or notes coming in, we get a chance to buy it off. All we do is swap the money (face value) =)

I would LOVE to find something like that! The JERK that said they weren't worth anything, is doing his best to rip you off! give 10:0 that he also sells MD's on evbay as Genuine doubled die coins! You are in the right forum, to find out what you REALLY have. I would offer you $500.00 for them, but I don't think you were born yesterday!
