Never cared for their coin supplies. As you mentioned, no albums; just folders (Whitman, and I think Harris). They have Harris brand (I think) 2x2's, which I don't like. They are thicker and harder to fold, and don't fit as easily into binder pages. And I get more at my LCS for less than half the price HL charges.

I stopped by my local one and noticed they had some of the nicer U.S. mint branded albums (I think made by Whitman) and quite a large folder selection. They had several books, including the red and blue coin books. I picked up the 2015 hardback edition of the Red Book for $10 with my 40% coupon, which is $3 less than Amazon.

One bummer is that it seemed like half of their coin folders were damaged. I picked up one quarter album and the main thick part with the cutouts just fell out on the floor.

They had a fair amount of coin supplies like 2x2, album pages, 2x2 boxes, etc.

And just of note, if you have a phone with a web browser (which is probably most in 2014) you can pull up a digital coupon. I just looked up the coupon while I was at the store and showed it to the cashier on my phone and got the discount.

I have an ATB album from here and I like it a lot. It's a Whitman, and it came with an S minted quarter from the series. Pretty cool.

What Dansco albums are you looking for John1? I have about 30 empty sitting at home. Trying to find time to get them on ebay or the trade forum here.

Thanks BLUESZONE for thinking of me but I am not looking for one. Members are looking for them from time to time and I thought HL had them. Now that I know they don't I will not recommend going there to any members looking for a Dansco.

Thanks for reminding me about Hobby Lobby. I need some pages for my Whitman Albums and also, need a 2014 Red Book hopefully they still have some. I collect the Red Book and for some reason missed the 2014 edition. A bit far to drive to one but much cheaper than coin stores or other hobby places.
And just for your info, Harris bought out Whitman a long time ago. Harris now makes Harris, Whitman and US Mint products. All of these Folders and Albums are made under Harris now.

Depends on your perspective.

It was in 2003 (eleven years). For us older people, it was yesterday; for the kids, a lifetime ago.

H.E. Harris took on the more well-known Whitman name (Like SBC did when they bought out AT&T). So, it is Whitman that makes the three lines.

I got to use a 40% off deal today.

Bought the ANA Grading Standards book, 7th addition.

$12.81 with tax I think.

Great deal if you ask me.

UPDATE:

My Wife went to get some yarn and came back with a copy of: Grading Coins by Photographs. 2nd addition.

Another $12.81 book with a coupon!

And again, Thanks for that tip. Yes I did download that coupon, went to HobbyLobby and purchased the 2014 hard cover edition for my collection. Nice to only pay that little with that coupon.
And yes they had US Mint, Harris and Whitman supplies. No other brands and as they told me, that is a Mid West Company and so are they.

Hey Bluezone I am interested in a few dansco's if you ave the ones I need or maybe even some duplicates I am after.. I don't have quite enough posts yet to buy or sell but I think I'm good in the trading section. I will check hre in a sec to make sure. If so maybe we can figure out some kind of a trade.. Thanks in advance.

Or just pull up the coupon on your smart phone. Browse to hobbylobby.com on your phone and there's a link for Internet Coupon or something. Just bring the coupon up on screen and show it to the cashier.

Like LostCollector, I have never seen Dansco products at a brick and mortar HL, nor are they available from their online catalog. I think it's safe to say they don't have a relationship with Dansco.

chettieyy,
Your a little late. I had a bunch on the trade page and only a couple of people responded so I sold them all on ebay. Only thing I have left is a couple of Lighthouse State Quarter albums. If you would be interested in those let me know.
