I had a few people mention " details". What are you seeing that I am not? This coin is housed in a problem free slab.

It is obvious I'm wrong since you have the grade of the Morgan. For me I'm seeing fine lines on the field and others areas of the coin and that could be on the slab or reflections from the lighting. Had this been a raw coin I would not have given a grade for I would have been on the fence on the detail grade.

I think the coin was cleaned at some point which is why folks are saying "details". Circ coin that is white with lots of hairlines....however, my guess is that PCGS found the cleaning to be light enough to be considered "market acceptable"....so no details grade. Its a nice example.

Thanks guys... Just curious of what the "details" people were seeing. I learn from everyone's grading.

The coin looks cleaned in these photos. If it's in a problem free PCGS slab then the coin is better than the photos depict.

Here is an example of a problem free coin that I own AU-58 Barber dime.

I question the grading on this coin every time I see it.

Well....this coin sits in a PCGS AU55 holder and according to PCGS it is problem free.

Well, color me surprised. IMO, there isn't enough detail on the breast feather's or Lady Liberty's hair to make it to AU.

Just my Two Cents, though

I'm glad your coin graded higher than I would have guessed from the pictures. Congratulations!
