I agree, that 37 is a nice one....coincidentally.....the reeded edge half dollar is my LAST one I need for my 7070.....drooling....

The obverse of the '37 is clearly superior to the '38, although the reverses are negotiable. Think I actually like the 1838 reverse better, although the 1837 reverse is coin-appropriate. Yeah, the 1837 should go into the 7070.

I like the 1837 much more than the 1838. Much more original IMO. Great pickup!

I think I will try and put it into the 7070. I am concerned about the coin fitting in the whole very well. If I end up finding a better grade example ... It might end up being very loose.
I do agree with Dave on the reverses.
Bright side either way ... I added another CBH to my collection.

I like the 1837 but feel both are really needed for a type set. I have both but the 1837 was in the album.

I agree, the change from 50 cent to Half Dol. It a big enough difference to each have it's own hole. I know it has been posted many times .... I hope if and when Dansco put's out a new album ... That they will add a few coins .... Like these and a large quarter.

It was a tight fit, sot of like pressing a coin into a old blue Whitman folder. Had to try at a couple different angles ... then it popped right in. As you can see mine 7070 is not a high grade set. I do collect on a budget. But I like how it looks... I will leave it .... unless a better one comes along. Edit .. Zoey thought was ok .. likes sticks better

It looks great with the rest of the set. I wish my 7070 looked like that

Thanks all ...
I somehow get to many sets going at the same time, but when I see a coin local that I think could make my 7070 better I try to pick it up.
I am pretty sure I started my 7070 around 1988 ... and still have many coins to upgrade.
