I believe they're talking about the years since that mint became proof-only, but then they're at least seven years early (even if we ignore the rumored non-proof ATB Quarters - the Coin Facts section on this site says there aren't any, but I distinctly remember them being discussed - there are the 1980-S and 1981-S SBA dollars).

Where did you find the information about the March of Dimes Dollar/Dime? Does it say whether any of the proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes Foundation? If so, I will get a several sets to assist their worthy cause.

January1May: rumoured non-proof ATB S mint quarters? Not rumoured. They have been making them since 2012 for collectors shipped from the mint in rolls and bags. I have the 2012 and 2013, and will be buying the 2014 once the last one is issued.

I would love commemoratives of Mercury dime and Walking Liberty half. Maybe not in gold (I can't afford that just yet), but definitely something.

Am I the only one not really excited about this? It is just mind boggling to me. If they're going to do this they should wait until the ATB Quarters have concluded. Now there would be all these new finishes with the remaining quarters and the previous ATB Quarters would not have the new finishes. And it was stupid to introduce "S" mint business strikes after the ATB had already been running. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I would not buy a reverse proof set. If the US Mint does that, they are going the way of the Canadian mint. Too many product. I and others collectors can not buy them and would simply lose interest.

What is next, a curved proof set?

100th anniversary of the Mercury dime doesn't make sense. It hasn't been in production for 100 years. Applying the same logic, they could have mod25 anniversaries for coins almost every year.

Another silver coin remade in gold?!?
This is getting stupid.
They need to bring back the Merc dime, for at least the one year...
Not act like carnies with a coin squisher.
(As in modifying coins in novel, but stupid ways...
Just that they happen to have unlimited funds, so pure gold it is. :smh: )

If the mint thought they could make a buck holing coins, they would.
And instead of QVC gold plated coins, they just make them pure gold.
Why? Because they can. It's not for collectors, it's for revenue.
