Just awesome, I'm working on a set for myself. I'm sure you've seen my first 2 coins.

Very nice. I have the 1885 that you don't have, but you have the 87 that I don't have. Between the two of us all we need is the 1884.

Have to admit, I have enjoyed your posting all this 3˘ stuff, they really are lovely designs and overlooked. The rarity of the 1880's dated pieces compared to the modest prices testaments that.

Pure rubbish, you should send these old coins to me and start over with the proofs! I am truly embarrassed for you...

Yes, I'm using a Littleton coin album. I don't have close-ups of the entire 1873 coins, but below are the close-ups of the dates themselves. Ken: For the record I have 16/25 of the Proofs. I just don't quite have the funds or time to actively pursue the rest of them right now. Two of them might always elude me due to price...1865 and 1877 (I already have the 1878 and 1886 Proof-Only issues). Closed: Open:

16/25...very impressive especially since most people I know don't have than many of Proof ANYTHING in their collection! Do like me...I have asked for some nice ones for Anniversary, Birthday, and Christmas! (Kind of ate up with this hobby aren't I?)

Prethen did post many sets for sale awhile ago - I was the only one that bought one. It was the best nuismatic decision I have ever made! He is not putting me up to this great feedback, but you guys really missed out! The coins are absolutely beautiful! I bought a run from 1865-1874 + 1881. They are the more common dates, but are problem free original coins. Very tough to find a nice 3 Cent these days... Bruce - thanks for the awesome deal!
