Like always, it is better to have the coin in hand to fully appreciate. First pic is a close up of the 1943 oblong dots and second pic is a close up of the 1943 round dots. Hope this helps those who are interested, to find an oblong dot example for their collection.

You motivated me to pull out my 2 rolls of 1943 pennies that have been stored since the 60s. I found 1 oblong beads. I also found 4 rotated, 1 double legend, 1 double ada, 1 die break, and 12 that have many missing beads on each coin. Thanks to you Bellmaker I now have a nice start for 1943 pennies.

Neat coin - now I can drag out those jars of George VI cents I have squirreled away and spent some evenings searching for this elusive error.
