A difference on a coin, that has proven to be somewhat tough to find.

Can you spot what is different about this coin?

well used coin, perhaps a weak strike. But I doubt it.

The designer's initials are pretty much worn off.... (or were poorly struck to begin with)

The oblong dots suggest DDO to me, maybe its my eyes but I think I see some very faint lettering in front of the kings face from under his chin to his forehead, also possible clash in kings ear. Maybe just to worn not sure.

This obverse is a dead resemblance of the 1947 pt.7 quadruple die obverse, anyone else seeing it?

Like always, it is better to have the coin in hand to fully appreciate.

First pic is a close up of the 1943 oblong dots and second pic is a close up of the 1943 round dots.

Hope this helps those who are interested, to find an oblong dot example for their collection.
