Zaggy,

As far as I know the CD is an exact copy of the catalogs. I'll let you know when I get them.

Cheers Ron... I personally found the 2007 Krause a bit dull, but I'm only into Third Reich stuff obviously... The best one that springs to mind, that ive seen, was the 1999 Krause; it had pictures of many of the Pattern Coins of the Third Reich...

My copy arrived today. The catlogs are in PDF form and appear to be exact copies of the books. I like the way that you can zoom the images up to 400% without any distoration. All in all the DVD is very well done.

Zaggy, the Third Reich section is the same as the catalog.

To buy the books it's $150 + shipping, DVD was $103 with shipping.

On the one hand, it's nice to have a physical book to open and look through, on the other hand, it's nice to be able to get them all on a DVD, with pictures that you can zoom in on without them getting blurry like a lot of ebay pictures. (:D) The one thing that would make it a no-brainer for me, would be to make it more searchable than just a PDF file. More of a database-driven search kind of thing, I guess.

Topher, actually you can do a search using key words, etc.

Well, then that certainly changes things! Thanks for the news! Is it similar to the search on their website? https://www.numismaster.com

Echizento: Whats the image quality of the Third Reich Coins like? And how big are the pics? (esp if there are any Pattern Coins in it... Looks like for my paper on the Coins and Mints of the Third Reich 1933-1945, I'm going to get an artist friend of mine to draw the coins I cant get photo's of (ie, Patterns and ULTRA rare stuff), so the best pics of the Patterns as possible, is becoming a need for me)...

Cheers mate... ;)

Zaggy, image quality is excellent, using adobe reader at 400% quality is still excellent at 600% it's starts to blur, and at 800% and above you cab see the pixcels. No images of pattern coins.
