Congrats to both David and Hockingzig. Jefferson nickels are the last series that can truly be collected from circulation. You are tempting me to play this game. :) I think that the 1938 is one of the coolest looking Jefferson.

Thanks for sharing all of your searches with us. I have found it very interesting. I too search nickel rolls. In my very first box I found a 1938D. I didn't realize how elusive this one was. I saved it with the rest of my pre 1960 nickels. Later on I started a Whitman book. Only yesterday & 103 boxes later did I find my second 1938D. I'm also interested to learn how many foreign coins you've found & how many countries they represent. To me it's very interesting to find a strang coin, do a little research & discover it's country of origin.

For a couple of years now my son and I have been trying to fill a Dansco album for Jefferson nickels (while working at a much, much slower pace than you!). We're still working on our first 2009D, but still we're inspired by your achievement!

Very impressive. Congratulations!!
I've been away from this forum for a couple of months, but I finished my taxes two nights ago, which was the last of several "todo's", and am now free to do yard work, spring cleaning, and coin searching.
I will never attempt to catch up with your dedication, but will at least enjoy myself from time to time.

Congrats! So happy you finally finished. You were the inspiration that got me started and now after about $9,400 FV searched I only need the 1950d. Hope it will pop out soon. Congrats again!

Many Thanks indeed for the latest feedback ... your kind words are much appreciated and serve to feed my CRH spirit. Quote: now after about $9,400 FV searched I only need the 1950d. Hope it will pop out soon. There is always that hope murrellington that the very next roll will yield the treasure - such is the great treasure hunt of nickel roll searching. I recently posted on my 2nd 1950-D CRH find ... they are still out there. Hopeful that yours comes along soon ... All - keep the faith ... it can be done even today in 2015. Best - David

I've been doing nickel rolls since 2005, and I do it almost every week. I've managed to find about 4 V nickels, over a roll of buffalo's, the whole series of jefferson's minus the 50D in circulation, and several rolls (3+) of War Nickels.. Also got my second book started and all I need is the 43D and the 50D as well.
