It's a pretty clean coin. There's a small rim ding at about 7 o'clock on the obverse, but other than that I can't see any other marks with the coin in hand.
I'll try some different light sources and exposure times tonight if I get a chance. I think it'll take a bit of trial and error to get the most out of what the camera can do.

I did see the rim ding after I responded but I still stand with my first grades because I don't think the ding will bring the coin any lower than a 63

It's a truly lovely coin. I'm not prepared to go as high as the others due to my pessimistic nature and my desire to see more pics without the reflectivity in the surfaces, especially the obverse.

Here's the ebay picture upon which I based my purchase: At the very least, I can say my initial picture is a bit better.

Egads! The ebay pic is as lousy as usual. LOL Your pics are much better. I'll go along with the others MS63-64 based on what can be seen. Barbers are one series where I really like the appearance of MS coins better than circulated ones. Nice coin.

Wow, your pics are much better, I hope this means you got a good deal on it! I'm still a bit suspicious of the surfaces and I can't tell from the pics whether it would be destined for a body bag if sent to PCGS/NGC. Still an awesome coin!

I think I got a pretty good deal. I ended up paying $13, including shipping. It was described as "AU+" and I was hoping for VF+ or XF. I'll try to use a second light source at a bit of an angle to improve the pictures. That and a shorter exposure should help reduce the reflectivity of the fields a bit, I think. I'm not planning to send it off for grading. I bought it to fill the Barber dime spot in my 20th century type set.

with the second set of pictures I think I will change my grade to AU-55 also although it may go MS but I am just not confident enough in my grading ability on these coins to say it will definately go MS

Just shows how hard it is to grade from a photograph. With all posted so far, I'd say AU-53. An awesome deal.
For me the biggest clue that I thought might drag it below MS from the original photographs was the apparent wear on the letters (which could be confused with strike issues) and the darkness on the cheek. The wear also confirms why the luster appeared diffuse in the brighter photographs, in a truly mint state coin I would expect a tighter cartwheel look to the luster.
Good grading exercise.
