So how much would this be worth if it was from Ravenna ?

Since Sear's book is from 1987 those prices are not relevant. But his prices for Tremisses from Ravenna are double those of Constantinople for Tiberius II Constantine.

Will have to wait until VK and the rest of the crew to chime in before I buy it . But if it is a Ravenna issue I will snap it in a heartbeat .

Good to know that you don't trust me on that one.
But let's see what their comment is one it being genuine.

Wonder if someone else will notice that it's not from Constantinople and search it out.

Skepticism is more virtuous than blind faith in my opinion. Sorry just who I am ;)

If you are desperate for a coin from Ravenna, there is a Solidus from Honorius on offer for a measly 900 Pound: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-HONO...360874351740

If ANY doubt re fake, it should at least be checked against the data bases for style.
If in hand it should also be checked with XRF for trace metals.

Looks OK from the pictures.

I have one.

Paid $300 for mine. This one looks nicer. Very thin coin.

My tremissis of Anastasius cost me just a bit short of $300. Only (minor) issues are its slight rub on the bust and a couple of weak areas. Still its one of my favorite coins. So for the one you are considering I would pay $250 or less for it.

Nice coins VK and Verm.
Tiberius II and Maurice are certainly very underrated Emperors.
