Definitely a fake.
The bold "N" in ONE is the giveaway.

That seller sells a lot of fake coins. Have had my conversations with her in the past on the 1922 no Ds that she sells. Tried to report to ebay but nothing happens. Crook supreme!!

edweather ... Yes, I'd reported a few of her prior offerings. I've reported this one, too. I'm surprised that her feedback doesn't better reflect the number of fakes she's sold!

If they have a history, perhaps a hypothetical test case to add more consideration to this thread: https://goccf.com/t/198275?

Thanks, pennynickelguy. I've been following this seller for awhile, spotting and reporting what I regard as being some of the more deceptive fakes than most I see on ebay.

The angled pics of typically damaged key dates will usually appeal to the under-informed collectors or hole-fillers. Thus, it's my impression that the seller is targeting this market. Some of the other fake keys sold have been multiples of the 1914-D, 1909-S Lincoln and the S-mint Indians. Sprinkled in between have been some genuine semi-keys. The seller generally avoids listing too many at one time, as they all have a similarly funky appearance, what with artificial discoloration, marks and modest damage. It's my estimation that the monthly take probably covers household expenses, while the seller flies below the radar, preying upon less astute collectors.

Another rare coin appears. The D obviously removed.

I hope he/she has some asbestos underware
