I have a comcast dvr and they won't allow us to transfer info from it to another device, so I won't be able to post it online. Even though he doesn't have to pay for it, at least it will bring him some exposure and hopefully others will sue him once they see it.

Holy Moley Batman would say. No TV, graceoutcast? How is that possible in this day and age. Even prisons have TV sets. I thought they were as common as air or water. No TV? Difficult to imagine. I have one in almost every room with combination VHS/DVD recorders on each. One has two. None is bathrooms though. That would be overkill. I too am waiting for that show Tuesday and although will not record it, I will watch.

Imagine it, I don't have a TV either. I spend my time online or watching DVD's on my computer. (Mainly old ones because they are putting so much anti-copy garbage on the DVD's of newer releases that they interfer really badly with the computer an I can't watch them. I wasn't sure if it was the DVD drive or the DVD themselves at first but I find that it plays older DVD's that I have just fine, and new DVD's of old movies work well too. But new DVD's of more recent films either freeze up or "stutter" very badly. You just can't enjoy a movie when a five minute scene takes ten to fifteen minutes to jerk and "stutter" through. It could be the drive though, most of the recent discs are now dual layer and my four year old computer may not be able to read them, and the dual layer may be confusing it.) It would be interesting to see the episode, but the question in my mind would be whether they decide the case based on the law or on the judge's personal opinion as was the case when judge judy heard the case of the ebay seller whose auction clearly stated they were selling a picture of a cell phone and the buyers paid $400 for it. Judy found for the plaintiff even though they admitted they hadn't bothered to read the listing closely and thought they were buying the phone. True the defendants listing was shady, but they did nothing illegal and they lost the suit anyway because Judy didn't like what they did. Not to mention slandering the defendant from the bench. (It wasn't printed, but since it was recorded, it might be considered to be libel as well.)

Judge Milian is pretty good. She's going to factor in the law and evidence into the case. Oh, and if she catches them in a lie. She's not like Judge Judy who justs does whatever she wants. I'm going to try to record on my camera off my tv and then upload it here. But the earliest that would be done would have to be next wensdday once I'm done with midterms.

it wasn't looking good at first but the plaintiff did win, but it wasn't a self slabber, it was just a guy that sold a self slabbed coin to the plaintiff. The guy paid about 1000.00 over greysheet for what the coin was worth, it was labeled as a MS-65 (which would have made the coin 10 times what he actually paid) but a coin expert (don't remember his name but said he wrote a few books)said the coin was actually a MS-62 or MS-63. He read the greysheet and said in 63 the coin would be worth 1700.00 and the guy paid 2600.00 but in his state 2000.00 is the maximum he can sue for so he lost 600.00 and gave the coin back

Note the slab was not clearly shown to the public. The Judge examined it. The seller stated he never said it was MS-65, that is what the purchaser said. The coin was a 1915 $20 Gold coin in a slab but as the judge stated, not a certified slabbed coin. The seller did hint the coin could be worth as much as $20,000 and the purchaser wanted it for and got it for $2,600. The courts expert, Mr. Gans was called to authenticate and grade the coin. He examined the coin and stated Ms-62/63. He then produced a pricing sheet that stated $810 in -62 and $1.750 in -63. Ever note they never show the complete swear in on that show but in his case they did including "So help me God"? Mr. Ganz was asked if he ever met the Judge before and he stated no. She asked for his expert cridentials and he stated he was the president of ANA, colected for 45 years, wrote many articles and books on coins. He was also a co author of the book on grading the purchaser broght to court. The judge asked if he had anythng to do with the State Quarters and he said yes, he influence that system. The seller noted his add said Money Back Guarantee for the date, mint and Gold only. No grade was mentioned. Eventually the seller took back the coin and had to return $2,000 to the purchaser. That is all the state they lived in was allowed for a small claims court rulling. Odd that out of all the coins minted on Earth, the judge only asked about the State Quarters. Odd that it just so happened the purchaser brought a book co authored by the expert. One more item mentioned was the seller has been thrown of ebay but he stated it had nothing to do with this sale.

Well, everyone on here pretty much summed up the episode. I was wrong, it wasn't a self slabber (I assumed this since the promos made it seem like it was). I think this was the first time the show was actually brought on there own expert for a case, so I thought that was interesting. Other than that, I thought the case was a little bland. I also thought that the seller should have won, because from the evidence that they showed on the show it didn't indicate the exact writing of the add. I understand why the judge felt that the seller breached the contract by misrepresenting it. But I don't know whether that was her opinion or if the ad said "This coins is a MS65" and mentioned nowhere that it was his opinion on it, etc. I'm going to try to get a video up in the next week.
