Yes, please DO NOT Post the s/n - Hank blocks every one that's publically posted that he is made aware of...

It's always fun to receive a WG bill. I used to do Where's George quite a bit but the life expectancy of a note is so short and the hit rate is so poor that it just became more work than fun for me. I love the concept but the ROI is poor so you have to mark and circulate a TON of notes for "success".

I haven't received a WG-marked note in some time to check in (4-5 years maybe?) and haven't marked one in two or more. I think the last hit on a bill I marked was over two years ago as well.

I got a $1 bill the other day - not in the greatest shape, but I can remember looking one up many years ago... around the same time as CelticKnot.

Just checked... the last bill that scored a hit for me was in March of 2013. Interestingly enough, I entered it in July of 2005. So... there's hope I guess.

For me it's one of those interests that waxes and wanes. I put a big push to make the , club and since then I've backed off quite a bit. When I look at my 10 or 12 year history, there have been other Periods where I didn't answer a lot of bills followed by spurts where I did.

I have 100 of them sitting on my desk as we speak...

I've been at WG for about 14 years now, I've EMS'd a little over 220,000 bills. I keep saying I'm going to retire from it but never do, the addiction runs deep and I just can't let an un-marked bill go by...

I just received one the other day and then put it back in circulation via a scratch off lotto machine here in Florida on this Saturday past.

@half n a half, so you have a 5% hit rate. Give it some time...that'll creep up a bit. I just checked and I have an 18% hit rate with ~850 bills entered.

@Night Hawk...looks like you have some work to do in Vermont. Chop chop!

Yup, more than half of my bills have been entered in the last 4 months or so, so I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of hits soon

I've been entering and stamping for several years, with a paltry hit rate. What's a trick for getting more hits?

And circulation... smaller stores, places that move a lot of cash IN & OUT. Not places that pickup extra cash and drop it in the safe for the armored car company

I used to do it. I live in Michigan, which seems like a sucker-hole for dollar bills - they never escape. I feel like half the $1s I get in change are from the blocks that were released here when new, even months or years ago.

Then I felt kind of bad about marking bills.. I know it's not illegal per se, but it is someone else's property so hmm.. But this isn't the place for this discussion.

Anyone have hits from different countries?
