I really want the dime set but I'm thinking of picking up the proof dollar today since it's up. Does anyone know a free shipping or promo code for the mint? I don't want to pay the $46.95 for the single coin and then have to pay an additional $5 on top of that! Thanks in advance!

The set reminds me of the old joke "You were so ugly they had to tie a pork chop around your neck to get the dog to play with you" Put two special dimes in the set to get collectors to buy the dollar.

I got the pamphlet in the mail last week and have been thinking about it, but (like lots of other offers) I just don't think it's worth the expense. I don't think the dollar coin looks as bad as others think, but I don't collect commemorative coins, so I'll pass for now.
The trouble is that I DO want the upcoming dimes, so I'll probably get stuck buying the 3-coin set later this year. I'll put the dimes with the rest of mine and maybe try to sell the dollar coin to try and get some of my cost back.

Just buy it now, and consider the "Introductory" price as getting it at the regular price with free shipping.

I have the same problem as many other members here. I really want the reverse proof dime but I don't want to pay extra to get the dollar. I guess I will have to wait until the set comes out and people send them off to get graded. Maybe they will separate the dimes from the dollar if the dollar grades higher. I saw this in a CW ad with the 2014 silver Kennedy halves.

It is the reverse that really turns me off on the coin. I have to admit that I really don't care for young children and I find babies particularly disgusting.

I felt the same way until I had one.

People are not kidding when they say that having a child will change you.

Maybe if it is your own it might, but I helped raise my nephew and my great-niece. I think the world of my nephew and my great-niece is now becoming tolerable (7 years old), but as babies I still found them disgusting.

I find the reverse to be very tender and touching. It speaks to me. When I adopted my baby girl in 2010 (she was only 3 weeks old) it changed me forever in an instant. You are right, jbuck. It does change you. She was a gift from God. No doubt about it.

So I just ordered the proof dollar along with a US Marshal coin. I like commems.
I will most likely order the 3 piece set when it is available.

It is. I had four nieces and two nephews before my own son and agree with you on this.
