Interesting coop, I didn't consider a wide collar error. I guess to prove it is a wide collar error we must get the diameter of the dime. Ilzho, can you give us the diameter?

I read that as 17.9 mm (or just a hair shy). That makes it normal size if I read that correctly(?)

So does that mean that It cannot be a wide collar?
What about a MAD?

I'm not sure how to read that micrometer. The 17.90 is no where near that reading? What am I missing on this reading?

It's a presidium gauge for diamonds and gemstones. It goes around once it's 10mm and so on. You see at the top it's close to the 20 mark. Sorry for the confusion.

So is it safe to say this is a collar wide error, or something else?

Pyrbob was correct early on. What you've got is slight finning of the rim.

Thank you to everybody for your attention to this. I appreciate this. I assume it's somewhat common?
