Quote: Did you check to see if the 1836 was a Type 2? The "Beaded Reverse" is O-106, a Lettered Edge type so it won't be Reeded. Hopefully there will be pics so we can confirm the attribution. A Bustie from Coinstar. Unbelievable. Play the lottery, CPC24.

SsuperDdave, it does have the lettered edge. I guess someone dumped a collection. This blows away all my CRH finds, and those are pretty decent. I still find Franklins and even Walkers sometimes.

Good attribution without the reverse denticles, as well. You can see vestiges of the diagnostic die crack under the arrowheads.

Thanks for posting the pictures That being in the reject tray ...... I hate to think what else was dumped into that machine .. That didn't get rejected.

Thanks for all the responses. I hadn't found anything good in a Coinstar in about a year, until this.

I'd call that coin VG, but still a nice $40 coin (more for the Type 2). Sure beats my oldest half find, an AG 1919. Outstanding find!
