would probably get a details/cleaned label for those hairlines on the obverse...it's a sub $150 coin even if it came back without the detail designation so getting it graded may not be the best financial choice

I need an 1893 Morgan so I have one of every year at least but I wouldn't want this one. Sorry. G04 maybe a bit higher.

I think the coin would grade G-4.

I can't go G04 because the reverse rim wear is into the letters. For some odd reason, one sees the reverse rim go before the obverse with Morgans so to me the absence of rim is no detriment to G04, just the letter involvement. In a PCGS slab this is no more than a $100 coin; probably better kept raw. And it's too good for a lowball for this year, as there are 9 in PCGS FR2. Maybe a year or two in your pocket?  |
