perhaps another rule might be that sellers must also be supporters.

Bobby, thanks for all you do for us. I learn something new about coin collecting every time I visit CCF.

I had been quite active selling coins on CCF for years (i do believe I had the most feedback out of all CCF sellers in the Pocket it Now system), but I stopped not because of any layout problems or any of the issuers mentioned here, my time available was the prime factor as there were several other things going on in my life at time.

Quote: Why are there not many post for sales? Even the mods and known dealers are not posting? If I could - I would put my entire inventory on here... and let CCF members have first crack. The reality of it is that I simply don't have the time. Coins are a hobby for me, and my real career, plus family and busy, active kids are recently sucking a lot of my spare time... I still use ebay, but I am lucky if I can post 5 listings in a week...

I just added to the rules that each topic may contain only one coin or lot for sale. It's a pain in the butt for the Staff to have to remove items that sell, plus all record of the item then vaporizes. When an item sells, the topic will be moved to the ended section so record of the item doesn't disappear.

I'm sorry to hear about the wasted effort on your part, Bobby. I am actually interested in putting up parts of my collection for sale and CCF is my first choice. Now I have make it a learning experience - like how to download a picture........
Sigh, if and when.

there has to be someone out there that is interested in selling their coins at their value or even under, or am I wrong?

There isn't one thing for sale. We should try to get this going, a marketplace that we can offer each other a little better deal.

I already buy world coins off ebay from members, personally not here to sell coins. When I get enough posts I want to help fill want list with trades that I may need or want and will buy from a thread if fellow members post coins that I need. The members here are the best source of information.

So the selling system really was only around for a month? I could've bet it was there forever (and I didn't even notice it was gone until seeing this thread just now).
I'm actually surprised by the thread-based system. It looks... I don't know, unprofessional or something. (Also, it's tricky to figure out what the current bid is, or even whether the item had sold already.) That said, I never sold or bought anything on CCF (an earlier version of this post had a long rant explaining why, but it basically came down to "don't have PayPal, don't have a credit card, no idea how to pay"). I did discuss planned purchases a few times; it never went through, and now I wouldn't have even considered them because my budget is a good deal lower.

I've never bought or sold anything off ebay, or anything else like that. I prefer to do it in person. I do appreciate all efforts and work on this site though. The few coins I've bought or traded on CCF has just been through private email. I trust and appreciate members on here willing to fulfill others needs, but anything that might involve "money-making" ventures, is inherently going to be abused with some level of greed which would leave behind the "family friendly" atmosphere so treasured here. "Buyer Beware" should not be something to be concerned with here. I like that a newbie or anyone of any age could buy a coin on this site without fear of being fooled or grossly overpaying, etc., etc.
