However, there is a chance that the collector spent it and hoped it would end up in the right hands. Then again, maybe it sat in a mason jar for over one hundred years. mountainman 2 Valued Member United States 351 Posts	Posted 04/22/2015 2:11 pm I soaked this coin in distilled water for several days changing the water about every 12 hours. That had little effect. I had it in acetone overnight followed by dipping it in distilled water. That didn't seem to improve it either. The latest pics do not capture the detail on this coin.
