There are a couple of years that could fill up complete Dansco, forgetting the 78-P's. That one could fill up a safe. The 80P and 88O come to mind. What grade threshold are you going for? If you want I'll keep an eye open for VAMMY circulateds. I go through a lot of them. PG

You know there is a strategy in "Coins" magazine for collecting Morgans that I like. You collect the common ones in MS condition. You can get these for less than $100 bucks. These coins may not be worth that much today, but when you consider you can collect a MS 1880 Morgan which is 135 years old that is really something to consider. If you ever wanted to hand down a set you might have a valuable thing. Also, the other part of the strategy is then to try and collect the scarce Morgans in VF, EF or AU condition if possible. I got three Morgans in about MS 63-64 for less than $200. I can afford $100 a month to buy a MS Morgan until I hit the wall. I am looking at the coins I bought and I can't believe they are that old and in that condition. Try and find a nickel, dime, quarter in MS 63 from early 20th century and it would cost you a thousand bucks. The US silver dollar is unique. I collected a set of Peace dollars for less than $1500 and my key dates are all in EF to AU condition. I am going to go back and try and replace the common dates with MS.

Very nice find! Seems these VAM 1Cs tend to come AU and up, with VAM 1C1 being found generally MS from what I've gathered. I look for well worn versions of this VAM all the time but have never had the luck of finding one... all I can seem to find is MS :(

Congratulations! Hard to say whether I'd rather a nice PL/DMPL V1C1 EDS or a well worn one like this. They both have their advantages, but one seems to be more difficult to find that then other ;) Thank you for sharing!

I do have a PL/DMPL EDS as well. I'll be posting photos of all my 1C's on the days of Morgans.
