It looks lime the weak date variety. The base of the 2 is not fully struck.

COA? I have heard peddlers on late night tv offering COA'S on their wares. Will you show us the COA? I am not knocking it, I am curious about this one.

It does look like the weak variety but there are mushy date strong strikes and the die crack at 1 oclock tells me it is the strong strike variety but we will have our answer in a few weeks for sure...COA? What are you talking about with the COA?

Oh,if your referring to my stating the die crack proved its authenticity...you misunderstood me...i am certainly not certain of a strong strike I only meant when I saw the die crack that I am familiar with on the '82 that I was certain only of it being a genuine no P dime not certain of a strong strike

Yea this is not a MS coin. Too much wear and the weak strike will take away I grade I think. Au55. Nice shiny silver penny you have there.

If so I missed th joke-mabi it's just me...if it comes back AU fine it's still an '82 no P dime not a 'shiny silver penny-' mabi your not into error coins that's fine but I am and I'm thrilled to own one now no need for the snide remarks I never did that to you but thanks for the opinion that's all I was looking for

I'm thinking it's a MS60. I don't really see any wear that would make it a circulated coin. Bag marks? Sure, but wear? I don't think so.

UPDATE-just got it back today I'm happy with the grade and knew MS was a long shot...anyway,no idea why they did not designate 'strong or weak strike' I put on the submission form that I thought 'strong' because of the die crack but no idea? Maybe they were unsure?

Ok so I did a little research and think I got my answer. Looks like NGC only designates the 'weak' strike variety on the label all others are the 'strong' strike which would make this the 'strong strike' as I originally thought

Thanks rayof! I do have 2nd one now in about the same condition quite possibly 1 grade higher who knows tho,not sure yet if I'm sending it in. I went back to this same LCS a little while back and offered him a 2015 3 coin silver march of dimes set and he didnt hesitate, I thought it was great trade I know I'm happy
