Yeah, even at EF40 full retail is only $32. So a details coin would be around $8. I'd hold out for a better 1892.

An $8 lesson?
Here goes:
Drew, examine the ear of corn on the reverse. There appears to be two die chips.
1892-Barber-Dime...grade?
The color around the edge suggests to me that it sat in
a folder/album of some kind. Natural to me from the picture. Well struck, a study piece for future shopping.
Now the obverse:
If the scratches (not due to cleaning imho) were not present there remain some interesting details:
notice the three-dimensionality of the "LIBERTY" band
and the curl to the right of the ear.
Unless an examination in hand reveals flaws that the photos do not show you have a nice piece to use as a grading guide:
Obv: XF-40
Rev: XF-45+

Ehh, I don't think I did too too bad. An 1892 Barber dime with XF details that was cleaned & scratched sold on ebay for $15 and 2.50 shipping.

I might just put it up for $15 obo w/ free shipping and see what happens.

@ Coinfrog

That was a bit harsh. Please think before you post.
