Hmmm good idea kid, I didn't think of that but I guess that can be added as a possibility. Let's see what coop and others think

Cascade, I'd like to help, but the lines you're describing appear to me as invisible.

The 2 top pics shows where they are. Look there on the others and for a red color near the lips then follow the red line down to the FE initials. Once you see it you can't miss it

I see em. I think you can probably rule out the alloy mix. Kid's theory might mean someone cut theirself. Your other theory might mean garment thread. Of couse, all conjecture on my part. Hopefully there are those that knows.

Ya, I hope coop or ken or Mike diamond chime in with their thoughts. None of my other 4 trumans have it. I'm trying to figure out if I should pay extra too send this one through error service with my Strikethrough or not?

Coop, look at the 3rd pic up from bottom. You'll see a faint red color to the viewers right of center at lips and below. The first pic shows where the red line is. It's faint but I'm sure with your eyes you'll see it!

*4th pic down from top shows it better as well

Cascade, it took me and The Kid a second round of looking with your extra instructions, to see it. Are you sure you want to pay someone to look at it once? Either scenario, struck through or stained planchet wouldn't be worth it. (In my opinion)
Rest in Peace

Gotta with coinmasters. It is so light and hard to see, even with your great photos, I can't see paying for a TPG error.

In hand it is more noticeable coinmaster. In diffused light that is. The golden proof color surface bleaches it a lot more in pics. If this were silver it would probably beam. I just don't know what the heck it is

You still couldn't sell it in hand on E'Bay.

Do you have a light box? Axial lighting might work.

Truman-Rp...-Fiber-Strikethrough-Or-Improper-Mix-Or-?
Shine flashlight horizontally at glass, shoot from above. The proof coin will not glare back at camera. You can coat box with dark cloth, if desired. Just a thin picture frame glass on a 45 dgree angle.
For a quickie, use cardboard. This is a nickel box.
