I'm saying theyre from a fairy tale or nursery rhyme. I don't know which one but I'm sure it's just a Google search away

Oh ok, my Google-fu for "cent skunk" and "a penny skunk" just keeps turning up drug busts. I just thought it was a play on words. I liked them because the cent is not a Lincoln Memorial reverse like you would see now a days.

I also found this. If anyone has one they want to sell I have a blank cheque! (It will bounce but still, free cheque)

A picture book called "A Skunk and His Junk" by Pam Sheunemann? Maybe American Google is different then Google.ca? I just keep getting reports on drug busts.

How much money does a skunk have? One scent!

Why was the skunk arrested for counterfeiting? Because he gave out bad scents (cents).

Rest in Peace

This made me smile. Never heard those jokes before!

Love the salt and pepper shakers. Which was for salt and which was for pepper?

I do not know, I would say skunk is salt due to the white stripe and the brown colour of the cent would put me in mind of pepper?

Do they both have the same number of holes on the top? Often one will have 2 holes and the other 3 (I don't recall which is which - I never use salt - have never bought salt actually).

Any plans on heading to Halifax for the big convention, Harmonica?

I do not know about the holes, that is th eoly picture I have (I found these guys on a salt and pepper collector site).

Sadly I am not, being 21 and car/moneyless sucks. Most of the guys from my coin club are going down though. If you are heading down enjoy! The RCNA medal this year had the Bluenose on it. I figured that would be right up your alley.

Oh, yes. Glad I managed a silver one too, already showing as sold out online.
