I believe "single" is a perfectly acceptable slang term for a $1 note. But of course if you don't wish to use it, no need to.

I do not use the term, but I still often hear singles. If it really bothers some people, then we can always just eliminate the one dollar note from circulation.

I plan on picking up another 60 ones tomorrow, but on average, I'm only able to mark 80% of them because the other 20% are either too old in age or they're so worn out it's not really worth marking them since they won't make it far.

...And as mentioned in the other thread, 20 of the bills were beyond their lifespan and got returned at another bank, and none of them were even uncirculated...

I'm gonna attempt to revive this thread once more, as it's been over 2 months since my last post. In that time, I've gone through about $300 in ones that have been entered during that time. $48,395 to go.

I know this thread is inactive but I should mention that the last time I refreshed my report which was about a week ago, I had entered exactly 10,009 bills onto the Where's George? website. I've definitely come a long way since this thread started!

Are we counting $2 bills or on $1 bills?

Since I'm now working in one of the three states I don't have a single hit from, I'm back marking.
Just had a six year sleeper.
Anybody know where the heck West Virginia is at? I know the geography answer, but don't they use singles there?

BStrauss, what's your WG? name? I am known as Grant on the site, and I have surpassed the 10,000 bill mark earlier this month!
