Correct me if I am wrong but ebay defines these coins as raw so are these auction not breaking the rules by stating the coins are graded in the title.

I doubt the whole story is true. I have seen this story written many times.

There is a divorce and the wife sells off all the ex husbands coins.

I could be wrong, but I have heard this one before.

As noted this is a scam. I too have seen this story used in lots of places for lots of sales. Women will buy from such a person due to the reason listed. Men will rush to buy thinking she just wants to get even so the prices will be great. I've seen this used at a flea market where a lady had a car load of fishing, hunting, etc stuff and kept telling everyone it all was her husbands and she is selling it all off before he can get back into the house to get it. She was there for several months with an endless supply of such sporting goods. On ebay this story appears rather too often also. Similar such stories have been used by women roaming parking lots, near sporting goods stores and I once was approached by a lady in gun shooting range with a similar story.
I suspeck there is book out there somewhere on how to screw the public with almost believable fake stories.

I always like the disclaimer "I know nothing about coins". If you had potentially thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, I'd learn really fast. How hard is it to buy a RedBook or read the PCGS website ? Also, those prices written in the back had to come from somewhere... so much for faking no knowledge.

How likely is it that her ex's collection would all be slabbed by the same suspect grading company? Most collectors that I know (including myself) obtain their coins from a variety of sources over a long period of time. This grading company hasn't even been around that long. This whole story is completely bogus in my opinion!

The auctions din mot break the rules. The rules say that you can't have a numerical grade in the title and these did not. You also can't mention the name of the grading service and she didn't.

I had a SGS MS-70 1968-D Kennedy listed with not saying anything about the grade just a picture of it and I had to remove it.

I'm glad that was mentioned. I forgot how that statement is always poping up. Same with "I know nothing about xxxxxx, it was all my husband's" I just want to get rid of this stuff.
YEAH, RIGHT.

It's not a scam, she put "Happy Holidays and God Bless" at the end. That sounds very sincere to me. ;-)

SCAM! I bet she is actually a he. I've also seen other auctions this past month that were similar to "hers". Same junk grading company, sticker on the back with a crazy price, and same granite counter. I'm guessing there other account was shut down so they're using this one.

They most certainly did. Every single one had the word "graded" in the title. All that crap was raw. I reported them all and every single one was canned withing 24 hours. Even the ones that had ended. All the buyers would have gotten an email that the coins were misrepresented.
