coins.su thats where I have looked ( one guy nickname Konstantin has it, at least had it back in 2005), from what I know now it's not a coin and it's not named ruble, here some info : in 1999-2001 they released "memorial medals"* one from 1999 called "tanga" and 2001 called "orieny". Both medals have same Avers but different Reverse, also different weight and diametr between 1999-2001.

*Memorial medal is my own translation, not sure may be there better english word for it.

I also looked at Central Tadjikistan Bank web page, they don't have it listed at all.
up. I sent email to the guy who has it, lets see what he have to say.

geraltttt82: It's no longer numismatics if you judge a seller by his / her location and other inventories. This is what you call prejudice.

It is numismatic when I avoid stupidity and only buy coins from checked sources (auction houses). gxseries you can buy what you want and have all shiny Chinese fakes only just to fill political correctness in "numismatic" and yours funny "not to judge anyone"

First read, then think, and at the end buy

http://coins.about.com/od/coinbuyin...g_advice.htm

" Never Buy Coins From Chinese Sellers
When you buy coins, look to see where the person is shipping the coin from. If it is China or Hong Kong, do not bid! No matter how appealing the coin looks, no matter how great a deal you think you are getting, no matter how good the sales pitch is, do not buy any coins from China or Hong Kong based sellers. Following this one guideline will prevent you from becoming a victim 90% of the time, since 90% of all fake coins on ebay come from Chinese sellers.

Never Buy Coins From Sellers Who Buy From Chinese Sources
Before you buy any non-PCGS or non-NGC coin on ebay, always check the seller's feedback to see who he does business with. If the seller has done transactions with China and Hong Kong based sellers, do not buy coins from him!

This might seem to be a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how many dishonest people do all of their buying and selling from the same ebay account. Check the feedback to see who they buy from by clicking on the "Feedback as a Buyer" tab on their feedback page (which you can reach by clicking on the number in parentheses next to their ebay handle). If they have ever bought coins from China, even once, do not buy from them! Most Chinese counterfeiters sell off-eBay after the first purchase."

or:

http://www.ebay.com/gds/Reproductio...05596/g.html

"Thai review in in reference to ebay seller, ADA51288, location China, member since, Sept. 20th, 2008. The member has a positive feedback of 100%, however all positive feedback was obtained from purchases, not selling. If you review the feedback you will find quick purchases of $1.00 items. The seller, as of Oct. 3rd, has 56 items listed, which are silver or gold coins. One example is a 5oz .999 silver panda, BIN price $20.00 with free shipping. Is it fake or not? I do not believe any seller in their right mind would list an item such as this without being a fake. If you purchase items such as these, do not be suprised when you find out it's a fake. Selling fake coins on ebay is against eBays sellers agreement. Most China sellers have been in violation of this policy for years. So many buyers have been tricked in to buying the fake coins over the years, and now show up for sale by sellers in the USA and other countries. Please read other reviews on this topic, or better yet avoid buying coins from sellers who offer a to good to be true bargin. Hope this helps! Thanks for reading. sellall2000"

This definitely cannot be a coin. It has no denomination

Found a set for sale. Bit too rich for me.

https://meshok.net/item/75390242_%D...%D0%BE%D0%B4

I don't know how to buy from there but it does look like a silver 'medal' can be bought for around 5000 rubles. (not sure what the exchange rate is)

yes, meshok is a great place for these medals.
heres one for 4499 rub (~80 USD) + 700 rub (~12.5 USD) worldwide shipping:
https://meshok.net/item/71642289_%D...%D0%A0%D0%9E

I have shopped on meshok before, however it might be a bit tricky. The most challenging part for me was to set up an account without having a russian mobile phone number (because they send you a confirmation code by SMS, and it just didn't work with my western number). However I managed by using an old sim card from another country.
Shipping abroad might be tricky sometimes, so the perfect situation would be if you have someone you know living in Russia that seller could ship to.
Also, check beforehand if the seller accepts PayPal. And note that all communication there is in Russian language. I know some basic Russian so that helped a lot, otherwise try Google Translate.
good luck

I did not see this insult until now. Since when is this acceptable?
