Might not strike up well, but more appropriate for the sesquicentennial than a lot of the selections we've been offered. Can I vote for yours?

That's my favourite without a doubt, and I am not just saying that to be nice.

What would be cool IMO is in the center of your design, an image of Victoria(the ruler during confederation) and an image of Elizabeth, the monarch during the 150th anniversary.

I think this idea is excellent, the artwork is mediocre at best. Still better than anything I could pull off though!

Nice design nalaberong, but it has a little too much 'stuff' on it I think, probably why they didn't accept it.

Uh, it does seem to be a bit heavy on the details.

How about trying something more simple, like a moose head or maybe a canoe?

Well you could always take out the " dollar" part and use your design on custom made T- shirts....then sell them on ebay in 2017.

Let's start a petition to bring back all six of the Alex Colville designs of 1967 . All you need is a date change and strike them in reverse Proof.
Pure Canadian! Make them in the original compositions including the cent. In Addition make the Coat of Arms Gold 20 as well, just re denominate as a $150.

I certainly think that's an excellent idea. In my opinion it's a huge mistake to not leverage upon that what was so successful. The virtues representative of each bird/animal are far more meaningful across the entire country than any one of the design choices and reusing a past design connects with history and tradition.

As someone who looks at mundane designs all day long, that illustration is quite pleasing to the eye. It has to be redone by a talented artist, but the idea and layout looks very good IMHO. It almost looks like a silver dollar.
