Right now I'm on the iPad so I don't know how to copy and paste the link but if you google search kijiji coin auction #1 #2 #3 #4 or #5 my ad should pop up. If you wanna check out the ad and give any feed back that would be good..... Someone already said I should be clearer on how the bidding process will go so I think later tonight I will write an excerpt on that

You might want to fix your twoonie ad AgCoinAu. it describes the 50 cent piece. That 1965 50 cent piece is mine!!

Ag for some reason your ad #4 shows a pic of a Wait For Me Daddy but describes a 1965 50c piece. I have just a thought, take it or leave it....rather than detailing the reason why not to use ebay, I'd offer the benefit to the buyer, ie lower price because no selling fees involved. Also if you're not interested in shipping, you might want to mention the specifics In your ad (successful buyer receives coin how?) to provide interested parties with full information. Regardless, good luck!

Thank you wildflower .. I just updated the ads.. so I may have done a copy paste error on the wait for me daddy twoonie... #5 is the '65 50 cent piece... You also make a great point about "how someone would acquire the coins" ... I think I will have to add those details in the next set of ads if this round goes well...
I tell you I have had two bids tonight and it's actually kind of fun seeing that some others are interested in the same coins I like as well...

You endeavours remind me of my funniest Kijiji experience...I replied to an ad, seller had listed quite a lot of high grade SD but I was only interested in a few that were affordable for me. It was a couple hours drive and seller gave me the choice of the meeting place. I googled the address of a well known coffee franchise on the side of the city closest to the road that I was taking. Problem was, when I got there a few minutes before the agreed upon time - it was an Express takeout in a very busy gas station! Hardly could meet in a drive thu! And although I'd brought my cellphone, I forgot to bring his #. Meeting to buy coin at a gas station - how crazy is that!
So we went into the gas station, which thankfully had about 5 stools and a tiny ledge to sit at by the front door, where dozens of people were coming and going. He arrived (I'd given him a description of myself), plus he brought along a couple of other albums of coins that he was selling. So I looked, made my purchase, handed him cash, and that was that. I think he thought I was overly paranoid, choosing that location! Every time I look at those particular SDs, I can't help but chuckle.....

Hoarder: I wish you luck! right now the bid at around $2.50 I think it's a steal!
I'll be honest I have already had fun with this little experiment and so long as the transactions go well at the end I will definitely do this again... it's very fun!

Good luck, I'm always looking at kijiji It just seems in my area when someone posts an add they have no idea what something is worth, and not in a good way. Lots of, I seen one on the Internet for $1000.....lol. Good luck

Neat idea for sure... I'm always looking for new ways to sell coins. ebay works great when you can list for free but those are getting less and less.. with more restrictions. I'm going to just be creating my own store online sometime in the future.

So the auction ended... and all things considered I think it was a GREAT success! 3 auction items sold two had zero interest... The wait for me daddy twoonie had no interest as well as the penny... and I half expected that. The Libertad only had one bidder so it sold for it's opening price but what was interesting to note is that individual had a pretty high maximum bid... only wish there was a bit more people interested. The nickels ended up selling for $4.50 which was a LOT more than I expected. And the '65 PL half dollar ended up selling for $6 which I think is a very fair price. Over all I'm very happy... ends up when I contacted the winners I already know one person as I taught his son years ago... and I'm looking forward to meeting the other two winners as I now will know two more people that like coins in this city...
